A permanent position for a Museums Assistant at Bramall Hall, Hat Works & Staircase House. There are two posts available: an 18-hour post (two 18-hour slots, working alternate weekends) and a 22.5-hour post (three days per week, working every Saturday). Salary ranges are £12,844-£13,049 for 18 hours and £16,055-£16,311 for 22.5 hours, inclusive of evening and weekend increments.

Your Role: The Museums Assistant is the first point of contact for all visitors to the museums. Key duties include:

  • Welcoming visitors
  • Answering enquiries
  • Handling bookings
  • Delivering activities
  • Engaging visitors with collections both in-person and online
  • Supporting day-to-day operations, security, and maintenance of the site

About You: Applicants should possess excellent customer-service and organisational skills, with experience in delivering visitor activities, demonstrations and tours, as well as handling retail sales and financial transactions.
