Vale View Primary School currently has an exciting opportunity to recruit a part time Key Stage 2 teacher to work two days per week (0.4). We are looking for an enthusiastic and effective individual to work in KS2. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a primary school, and a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEND Code of Practice. You will work with our caring and dedicated team to support children’s learning and social development by providing high quality learning opportunities and care.

About you
- Excellent classroom practitioner, with a child-centred vision of education, who can engage and enthuse children in their learning
- Good working knowledge of the National Curriculum
- High expectations, excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to establish positive adult‑pupil relationships
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience of supporting children with special educational needs
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Committed, motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with parents, staff and outside agencies
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding
- Commitment to after‑school clubs and activities and the broader curriculum
