The predicted salary is between 22400 - 29600 £ per year.

Scale 3 + 2 increments (£26,403 - £26,******* hours, full time and 18.5 hours part time. We have 2 full time and one part time vacancy between the two shifts.

The early shift: 07:00 hrs - 15:24 hrs (Mon-Fri), 08:00 hrs - 16:24 hrs (Sat). Working one late evening (14:36 hrs - 23:00 hrs) in four weeks and one Sunday (between 08:***** - 30 hrs) in four weeks.

The late shift: 11:06 hrs - 19:30 hrs (Mon-Fri), 10:06 hrs - 18:30 hrs (Sat). Working one late evening (14:36 hrs - 23:00 hrs) in four weeks and one Sunday (08:***** - 30 hrs) in four weeks.

Permanent position at Hardman Centre Parking Enforcement Office, Hardman Street, Stockport.

Your Role: Our Council has responsibility for enforcing both on and off-street parking restrictions within Stockport to ensure the efficient movement of traffic, improve road safety and the local environment. We are looking for a conscientious person to make a positive contribution to our Parking Enforcement Team. You will be working in all weathers patrolling all parking restrictions throughout Stockport, issuing tickets where contraventions have taken place as well as covering other duties such as checking pay and display equipment.

About You: The ideal candidate is a proactive, dependable individual who demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to public service. They will bring excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to remain calm, professional and fair in challenging situations. Key skills include problem solving, accuracy in record keeping and confidence in enforcing regulations consistently. A positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively are essential.
