Midday Assistant Salary: Scale 1 (£24,413 – £24,796 pro rata)

Playworker Salary: Scale 2 (£24,796 – £25,185 pro rata)

Part‑time, term time only, 3 h 10 min per day, 5 days a week

7.30 am – 9.15 am (playworker) and 11.50 am – 1.15 pm (midday assistant)

Permanent. Start Date: ASAP.

Role Overview

We are seeking to appoint a playworker with midday assistant responsibilities to work Monday to Friday during term time in our happy and successful school.

Responsibilities

  • Caring for and supporting children while they eat their breakfast and lunch.
  • Promoting, supervising and assisting with high‑quality play.
  • Supporting children with their reading in classroom settings.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Suitable for a role involving child care and playground supervision.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Successful completion of satisfactory pre‑employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
