Your Role
Stockport Council are recruiting an Architectural Assistant to work within the Design and Technical Service, which is part of the Estate and Asset Management Team. We have a large visionary programme of capital developments across the borough covering our Education, Leisure, Corporate and Commercial portfolio. This is a unique role, in that it will provide you with the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects at all RIBA stages, combining feasibility work with project and design management. You will join a team of three existing Architects as well as engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers and building surveys, and will gain a huge amount of experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment and on a vast array of projects.
About You
You will support stakeholders through the Council by providing advice on design and construction matters. You will work as a critical friend to external design teams to drive the best in projects.
