Your Role

This role has more than enough variety to satisfy the most ambitious ICT technician.

You’d be part of a team providing ICT support and repairs to around 100 schools in Stockport and surrounding areas, working on a diverse range of personal computer systems, interactive teaching equipment, audio & visual systems and mobile devices.

  • Providing support to schools both onsite and remotely.
  • Configuring, installing, upgrading and maintaining servers, wireless access points, workstations, laptops, Chromebooks, iPads and other relevant ICT technologies.
  • Communicating effectively with customers to ensure high levels of customer service are provided at all times.
  • Support specialist curriculum and administration software, hardware and network functions for schools.
  • Provide basic “hands on” training to our customers with regard to curriculum hardware and software.

  • Installation of Audio-Visual equipment and network cabling infrastructure within schools and Council premises.

About You

We are looking for an adaptable problem solver with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will have a good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, applications, LAN principles and a working knowledge of general hardware support. You will have an understanding of how Google for Education supports schools.

You will be able to work autonomously, motivating yourself and using your initiative, this includes keeping up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment.
