Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 7 pupil with SEN needs.
- Support classroom activities and ensure inclusion and participation.
- Assist with communication and social interaction tasks tailored to each pupil.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and external professionals to deliver a holistic support plan.
- Adapt calmly and flexibly to changing situations.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the pupil’s Education Health and Care Plan.
Qualifications & Experience
- Compassionate, patient and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children.
- Demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
- Experience or knowledge in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy is desirable.
- Experience working with pupils with SEN, especially those with communication/social interaction difficulties, cognition/learning difficulties or autism spectrum disorder.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a specialist school environment.
