Your Role: Stockport Council are recruiting a Commercial Assistant Year Out Student to work within the Design and Technical Service, which is part of the Estate and Asset Management Team. We have a large visionary programme of capital developments across the borough covering our Education, Leisure, Corporate and Commercial portfolio. This is a unique role, in that it will provide you with the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects at all RIBA stages, combining feasibility work with project, design and cost management. You will join the team to support our Commercial Manager and project team including engineers, building surveyors and architects, and will gain a huge amount of experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment and a vast array of projects.
About You: You will support stakeholders through the Council by providing advice on design and construction matters. You will work as a critical friend to external design teams to drive the best in projects.
