Your Role: We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to work for Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and are seeking to recruit an experienced Pest Control Officer to join the busy team. Based within the Thriving Neighbourhoods Service, the successful applicant will be responsible for the investigation and treatment of a wide range of pest complaints and infestations across domestic, commercial, and public sector premises. The role includes inspection, treatment, education, advice, support and record keeping. The post will also provide support to colleagues within the council to ensure that our neighbourhoods are a safe and clean place for Residents.
About You: Experience in delivering Pest Control treatments is essential. A successful applicant will have dealt with a wide range of pest infestations, including treating, proofing and understanding the impact of infestations in the Community. You will have a wide knowledge of pests, their behaviour, and effective control methods. You must hold a relevant qualification such as RSPH / BPCA Level 2 Qualification. Excellent customer service skills are essential as is the ability to be organised and work independently but also be part of a close working team.
