Youth Justice Team Leader MB4 (£43,693 – £49,764). 37 Hours, Full Time (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of the duty management cover). Permanent. Central House, Stockport.

Responsibilities

Your Role: You will act as one of the operational management leads for the delivery of youth justice, serious violence reduction and targeted youth support services, and related safeguarding. You will lead and manage a multi-agency team to ensure services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based practice, legislative and statutory requirements.

About You / Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of managing practitioners who support complex and often chaotic children and young people.
  • Significant recent experience of working in a Youth Justice Service or similar multi-agency partnership addressing factors that lead children and young people into crime.
  • Qualified to a minimum degree level and hold a relevant professional qualification and registration (e.g., Social Work and/or Probation).
  • Experience of working as part of the statutory multi-agency service delivering a restorative approach through Stockport Family and the Safer Stockport Partnership, and collaborating across the 10 Greater Manchester Local Authorities to deliver the GM Youth Justice Transformation programme as defined by GMCA and the Youth Justice Board/MoJ.

Remuneration, hours & duties

This post includes weekend, bank holiday and out-of-hours work as part of the management duty rota system (with additional pay).
