Teaching Assistant SEND
Hours: 32.50 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm (Would consider 4 days per week)
Salary: NJC Scale 3 point 5 6 £25,583 to £25,989 (actual pro rata £19,220 - £19,525)
Contract: Full time, Term time. Permanent
Start date: 5th January 2026
We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting Special Educational Needs in the primary age range. The main duties of this role will involve:
- Supporting children in lessons as well as with their medical needs and social and emotional well-being.
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEND Support Plans with their learning and development in both the classroom and our Resource Base.
- Work under the guidance of teaching staff, Inclusion Manager and outside agencies in order to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, committed and can show initiative. The successful candidates will be able to communicate effectively with teaching staff, the Inclusion Manager and work efficiently within the SEND team. This is a hugely rewarding role for the right person and training can be given where needed.
