We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and compassionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) to lead and further develop our SEND provision. The role is a permanent, 2.5 days per week position starting September/October 2026. Salary range: £45,352 – £51,048 depending on experience, with TLR2A.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping outstanding inclusive practice and provision for our learners and families, model a “we can” culture, and support strong partnerships with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Hold or work towards the National Award for SEN Coordination.
  • Inspire a “we can” mindset in pupils, staff and families.
  • View SEND as an opportunity for growth rather than a barrier.
  • Create inclusive environments where provision adapts to meet individual needs.
  • Lead with warmth, integrity and optimism, making decisions that secure the best outcomes for children with SEND.
  • Champion inclusive practice through high‑quality adaptive teaching, relational approaches and ambitious expectations.
  • Collaborate with staff, families and external agencies to build strong partnerships centred on children’s wellbeing.
  • Be reflective, solution‑focused and committed to continual development of provision through evidence‑informed practice.
  • Support and empower colleagues to grow in confidence, expertise and understanding.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
