Job Role: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Marple Hall School

Hours: 34 hours per week (8am-3.30pm)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Scale: NJC 3 £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata (actual salary £20,107- £20,427)

Start Date: From September 2026

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Support students with special educational needs and/or disabilities; provide assistance in mainstream classes or specialist Resource Base.
  • Work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, supporting their learning, communication, emotional regulation and social development.
  • Provide patient and calm support and be flexible in approach.

Qualifications and Experience:

We require dedicated and flexible Learning Support Assistants. Candidates may have previous experience working with young people or a desire to seek an exciting new opportunity at work.

Training: Training will be provided for successful candidates.

Other Information: Successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Marple Hall School is part of the Helix Academies Trust, and the successful candidate will be employed by the Helix Academies Trust.
