About The Role
The EHCP Team at Stockport Council is looking for an Education Health and Care plan (EHCP) Plan Writer to join on a temporary 2‑year contract. The successful candidate will support colleagues in the EHCP service to draft clear, child and outcome focused EHC plans for children and young people aged 0‑25. This is a challenging and busy role within a friendly team.
About You
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and their families and who have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. Enthusiastic, motivated, hard‑working and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs are qualities we value.

Pre‑employment Qualifications
- Satisfactory pre‑employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
- Experience in drafting EHC plans or related support for children and young people aged 0‑25.
- Organisation and attention to detail.
