About the Role
SCIENCE TECHNICIAN - START DATE: From January 2025
PAY SCALE: NJC Band 3 Points 6-11 (Actual Salary £21,105-£22,854)
HOURS: 36.25 hours per week (08:00 - 16:00), term time only (38 weeks in total)

You will support teaching and learning within our Science Faculty. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and retrieving materials and apparatus for demonstrations and practical work
- Organizing the Science preparation room
- Ensuring the safe storage and disposal of chemicals
- Managing stock and supplies
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment
- Supporting experiments during lessons and science club activities
- Any other tasks delegated by the Science Faculty
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on experience with setting up, maintaining, and cleaning science lab equipment
- Experience working in an educational environment is an advantage
- Ability to manage stock inventories, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper storage and labelling of materials
- Good verbal and written communication skills for liaising with teachers and students
