About the Role

Working within the Thriving Neighbourhoods Service, you will support the Street Care Team in maintaining safe, clean and sustainable neighbourhoods. You will collaborate with community groups, council colleagues and partners to improve public spaces throughout the borough.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure the borough is a clean and welcoming space for residents and visitors
  • Work directly with communities and stakeholders to plan and deliver neighbourhood projects
  • Support consultation, engagement and community events
  • Identify and manage funding to improve local public spaces
  • Deliver landscape and infrastructure works within set budgets
  • Help resolve land, boundary and public realm issues
  • Handle residents’ enquiries professionally and clearly

About You

  • You enjoy working with people, are well organised, and care about public spaces.
  • Experience working with community groups
  • Experience in a land‑based or public realm setting
  • Strong communication and record‑keeping skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities confidently
  • A practical, positive approach to problem solving
