We are looking to appoint a Midday post to work at High Lane Primary. This is a very exciting time for our Trust as we grow.
Main purpose of the job: To be responsible to the Headteacher, or the Class Teacher under the overall authority of the Headteacher, for the supervision of pupils during the lunch break.
The role and responsibilities involve:
- Supervising children at lunchtime whilst eating in the dining hall, playing outside in the playground and during wet play in their classrooms.
- Encouraging young children to eat their food and actively assisting pupils with the development of good table manners and social skills.
- Supervising children as they play outside in the playground and during wet play in their classrooms.
- Helping during hand washing, cleaning up of spillages and ensuring the tables and floors are clean.
- Maintaining good order at all times.
- Assisting with first aid in the case of any accident or incident.
- Awareness of and following Safeguarding procedures.
Successful candidates will:
- Enjoy organising playground games to ensure children’s lunchtime experience is a happy one.
- Have a positive approach to behaviour management and be determined to ensure lunchtimes remain a safe and positive experience for all children.
All relevant training will be given and opportunities for further CPD is a priority within our trust.
