Finance Officer
Hours of Post: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days
Working Pattern: Working days negotiable
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only
Salary Grade: NJC Scale 5 points 12 to 17 – £28,598 to £31,022 FTE
(salary will be pro rata to part time, term time hours)
Start Date of Post: September 2025 and as soon as possible thereafter
The Governing Board of Westmorland Primary School are seeking to appoint a talented, reliable and efficient person to take on this key leadership role in our successful school. The Finance Officer will report to the School Business Manager for all day to day financial matters and is accountable to the Governing Board.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the managing of school finances, ICT packages, and HR systems and processes.
The successful candidate should have experience to working in a busy office, preferably in an educational establishment, is able to work independently and as part of a team using finance systems with the ability to work to self-direct workloads.
Strong finance and management experience
The promotion of a high standard of business ethos in the administrative function of the school
Strong working relationships and excellent communication skills
