An experienced Domestic Abuse Social Worker will join a small specialist team led by a Domestic Abuse Team Leader, working across multiple agencies to support children and families affected by domestic abuse. The role involves:

  • Contributing to strategy discussions and Section 47 enquiries.
  • Providing expertise in risk assessment, safety planning and risk management.
  • Representing children’s social care in key forums such as daily risk meetings, MARAC and MAPPA.
  • Developing learning and training opportunities, including the Caring Dads programme.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with multi‑agency partners (children’s social care, health, education, police, voluntary and community sector organisations) to strengthen responses where domestic abuse impacts children and families.
  • Providing specialist input on assessment, planning and intervention with families.
  • Delivering specialist interventions, including the Caring Dads programme.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a social worker.
  • Demonstrated experience working with domestic abuse victims, survivors or perpetrators.
  • Passion for relationship‑based social work and commitment to supporting children and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
