Your Role
Stockport Council are recruiting an Architect to work within the Capital, Design and Technical service, which is part of the Estate and Asset Management Team. This role allows a right candidate to be at the heart of decision making; not just delivering projects but also looking at the fabric of the borough and thinking about the pipeline of projects that will be needed well into the next decade.
We have an ambitious pipeline of projects throughout Stockport including plans for new schools, working with health partners to deliver new care facilities and the delivery of new leisure facilities. These build on the recently completed and ongoing projects we help to deliver including Lisburne School, Stockroom and Marple Hub.
As an Architect, you will lead the technical design and on-site project delivery for the service. You will work alongside an internal team of Architects, Engineers, Building Surveyors and Project Managers, as well as leading externally commissioned consultant teams.
About You
You will have a technical expertise in Architecture and design, as well as construction detailing, assisting with planning and construction contract management, and delivery of commercially viable schemes. You will have strong partnership skills and be able to develop strong relationships in order to ensure timely project delivery.
