The Opportunity

We're working with a successful and fast-growing SaaS business that provides a market-leading software platform to the higher education sector.

As the business continues to grow, they're looking for a Software Tester / Testing Agent to join their Product team and play an important role in maintaining the quality and reliability of their platform.

You will work closely with software developers, product specialists and support teams, testing regular releases as well as contributing to larger product development sprints.

This would suit someone with commercial software testing experience who enjoys problem solving, has excellent attention to detail and wants to develop their career within a collaborative SaaS environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with the Support Team to coordinate testing for fortnightly software releases
  • Carry out manual, regression, integration and release testing
  • Work alongside developers and Product during development sprints
  • Help define testing criteria for new features and major releases
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts
  • Build repeatable test packs and appropriate test data
  • Identify, document and report software defects and bugs
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing processes
  • Write and maintain test automation where appropriate

What We're Looking For

You will have strong technical aptitude and be comfortable navigating and learning different software systems.

Ideally, you will bring experience across some of the following:

  • Commercial software testing / QA experience
  • Manual, regression and integration testing
  • Working within an Agile software development environment
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Writing test cases, test scripts and testing strategies
  • Defect and bug reporting
  • Working closely with software developers and Product Owners
  • Experience with tools such as CRM systems, issue management platforms and Postman
  • API testing exposure
  • SQL experience
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent

You don't necessarily need everything on the list. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn are particularly important.
