We’re working on behalf of a fast-growing SaaS company to find an experienced and hands-on Head of QA to join their engineering team in a full-time role. This is a pivotal position for someone who can bring a strategic mindset while staying close to day-to-day operations, helping shape and strengthen the QA function to support ambitious growth plans. This is a great opportunity for a team player who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys mentoring others, all while ensuring the highest standards of quality across a web platform and mobile app.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead software testing efforts (functional, performance, regression) for web and mobile platforms.
  • Build upon and advance the existing test automation strategy.
  • Support the Head of Engineering with release cycles and quality processes.
  • Create and execute test cases to ensure QA best practices are met.
  • Run and manage both manual and automated tests.
  • Identify, track, and report defects with clarity.
  • Collaborate with developers and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Mentor junior QA staff and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Clearly communicate findings to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation including test cases, results, and bug reports.

What They’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years in a similar QA leadership or senior-level QA role.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach in fast-moving environments.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with mobile testing.
  • Familiarity with Git & GitHub.
