We’re recruiting on behalf of a privately owned, fast-growing UK business operating in a specialist B2B environment. The company works with organisations of varying sizes, delivering tailored solutions designed around customer requirements.
This role is a new addition to the sales function, joining a small but growing team of two sales professionals who were hired over the last year as part of the company’s expansion plans.
The role
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll be responsible for winning new business and growing revenue through proactive outreach and relationship-building. You’ll manage opportunities from first conversation through to close, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and delivered against.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach
- Own and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to close
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers
- Confidently discuss solutions, pricing, and availability
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape the right-fit offering
- Maintain accurate sales reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities
- Attend trade shows and industry events to build relationships and pipeline
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in B2B sales
- Proven track record of generating and converting new business
- Strong commercial awareness and experience selling solutions-based offerings
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable owning performance metrics
