Stoc is a product intelligence platform for retail. We use computer vision and AI to monitor coolers and shelves in real time — planogram compliance, stockout detection, and demand intelligence at scale. We have just built a new AI analytics platform and are preparing to take it to market. Now we need someone to own it technically.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and improving a modern full-stack web platform
- Handling bug fixes, performance improvements, and feature builds
- Introducing enterprise-grade practices: security hardening, automated backups, Git workflows, environment management
- Leading infrastructure migration to a production-grade hosting environment
- Being the technical point of contact for infrastructure and vendor integrations
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years building and shipping real products
- Strong full-stack web development fundamentals
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) — this is a must, not a nice-to-have
- Has managed a production app, not just built one
- Self-directed — you won't have a team to lean on yet
- Hungry to grow into a lead engineering role as we scale
The setup
Contract to start, with a clear path to full-time as we build out our engineering org. Remote-friendly. Small, fast-moving team — real ownership from day one.
If this sounds like you, send a short note about something you've built and managed in production.
