Job Description: We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to support our beverage operations across Yorkshire. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and dependable delivery standards. The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, with ideal shift patterns available on Nights:
- Friday to Monday Nights
- Sunday to Thursday Nights
- Tuesday to Saturday Nights
- Can consider 4 on 4 off shifts
Shifts typically start between 16:00 and 19:00. We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don't quite suit your availability, let us know what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences. Weekend working may be required in line with business demand.
Pay Rates: We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift:
- Mon-Fri Nights - £16.35 per hour
- Saturday and Sunday Nights - £18.65 per hour
- Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour
On top of base salary, our HGV Drivers will be entitled to a £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance and a £25 night-out tax-free allowance.
Driver Responsibilities:
- General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
- Collections from Stores to load out to Distribution Centres
- Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
- Trunking Opportunities available depending on availability
- Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
- Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
- Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation
Qualifications: You should hold a valid CE Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers). No more than 6 points and no DD/DR Code convictions. Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards. Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation. Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly. Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements. Excellent communication skills.
