Job Description: We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Goole to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and dependable delivery standards.
The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, with ideal shift patterns available on Nights:
- Shifts typically start between 16:00 and 19:00.
We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don’t quite suit your availability, let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.
We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift:
- Mon-Fri Nights - £16.35 per hour
- Saturday and Sunday Nights - £18.65 per hour
- Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour
On top of base salary, our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance, and £25 per night out tax-free allowance.
Responsibilities include:
- General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
- Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
- Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers).
