Job Description Life in this role \n As part of our, Transport Logistics division , we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Planner . \n Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on experience \n Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-6:00 \n Maternity Cover - Fixed-Term Contract until October 2027 \n As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan. \n Key Duties of a Night Transport Planner: \n \n Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS \n Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK \n Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases \n Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise \n Planning collections per day on a time critical basis \n Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI's \n Proactively look for continuous improvements \n Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale \n Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year \n \n Job requirements \n \n What you'll need ... \n \n Good geographical knowledge of the UK \n Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook \n CPC Desirable but not required \n Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots \n Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment \n Customer focus on delivery performance \n Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results. \n Experience of using a TMS system \n Experience in an FMCG environment \n Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulasv \n \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
