Job Description
We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Carlisle to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- General haulage operations using curtain-side trailers
- Delivering to RDCs, distribution centres and retail stores across the region
- Store collections for delivery to factories and distribution centres
- Occasional loading and unloading of cages as part of store delivery activities
- Completing daily vehicle checks and transport documentation
- Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and professionalism
- Working closely with the Transport Team to ensure efficient service delivery
- Adhering to Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and Tachograph legislation at all times
