Night Transport Planner

As Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan. Working on a shift pattern of Monday to Friday nights, 18.00-04.00.

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support of Stobart when volumes dictate.

• Previous Transport Planning experience.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• CPC Desirable but not required.
• Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.
