Job Description: We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us out of the Morrisons RDC in Burton Latimer, Kettering to support our General Haulage and Trunking Operations. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis and we have a shift pattern of Thursday-Monday with start times between 11:00am-15:00pm.

Pay Rates: We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

  • Mon-Fri Days - £15.15 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £18.15 per hour
  • Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance, and £25 per night out tax-free allowance (if applicable).

Driver Responsibilities:

  • General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
  • Collections from Stores to load out to Distribution Centres
  • Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
  • Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
  • Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
  • Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Qualifications: You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers). No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions. Hold a current valid DCPC.
