We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our operations at Morrisons RDC in Bridgwater to support our General Haulage operations. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and dependable delivery standards. The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, with ideal shift patterns available on Days below:

  • Tuesday - Saturday Days

Shifts typically start between 14:00 - 16:00. We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don’t quite suit your availability, let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Pay Rates: We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift:

  • Mon-Fri Days - £15.15 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £18.15 per hour
  • Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour

On top of base salary, our HGV Drivers will be entitled to a £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance.

Driver Responsibilities:

  • General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
  • Collections from Stores to load out to Distribution Centres
  • Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
  • Trunking Opportunities available depending on availability
  • Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
  • Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
  • Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation

Qualifications:

You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers). No more than 6 points and no DD/DR Code convictions.
