The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.
As a HSQE advisor you would provide support, guidance, and advice to help ensure the delivery of company internal and external audit programmes, in order to help ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management Systems, legal, client and business requirements.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week. This role can be based in Wentworth Park in Barnsley, Yorkshire or Cumbria area. Travel will be required to support sites.
Key Duties of a HSQE Advisor:
- Proactively work with sites to promote HSE and stimulate ongoing improvements to company practices and in the development of documented procedures as required to continually improve the business.
- Help develop and manage an annual internal and external HSE risk-based programme for allocated sites and arrange and conduct HSE audits as required, utilising up to date audit documentation ensuring compliance to the company audit programme.
- Produce and circulate audit and non-conformance reports providing guidance and support to achieve audit requirements.
- Carry out HSE Site visits and produce detailed reports and ensure that all recommendations are implemented.
- Manage and assist sites with external audit programmes.
- Assist and provide advice regarding development, maintenance, review, production and implementation of Risk Assessments (including COSHH), safe systems of work and the provision and use of appropriate protective equipment.
- Maintain awareness of new processes and techniques or changes to legislation with special reference to HSE that will have an effect within the company.
- Ensure that all accidents and dangerous occurrences are thoroughly investigated and reports provided, detailing causes, conclusions and actions to avoid reoccurrence.
- Work, in collaboration with the training department, to secure the regular safety training of employees.
- Complete fire and facilities audits & Risk assessments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Great organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate is highly beneficial.
- Awareness of ISO9001 and understanding of SharePoint.
- PC literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word in particular.
- Competent in carrying out Noise and Lighting surveys and delivering Manual Handling training.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
