Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated maintenance engineer to integrate into a fast-paced maintenance department. You will be responsible for ensuring that industrial CNC, automated machinery and equipment runs efficiently. Your work will involve planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance and responding to equipment failures and breakdowns.
Hours: 06:00 – 18:00 on a four-on, four-off shift pattern
Additional responsibilities for the position include:
- Fault diagnosis on CNC Mills, Turning Centres and Lathes
- Working with detailed Electrical/Mechanical drawings
- Identifying root causes of breakdowns
- Specifying maintenance and operating procedures
- Working with and adhering to maintenance procedures
- Assisting the Maintenance Manager with statistical and financial records for the maintenance department
- Managing liquids in the workplace including testing for bacteria
- Building maintenance and workplace health and safety
- Designing site specific equipment as required
- Monitoring building systems and processes
What you need to bring:
- Experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer within an industrial environment
- Experience of fault diagnosis on CNC machinery
- Fault diagnosis experience in:
- Electrical 3 phase
- Control io systems
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Formal Engineering Apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 4 Engineering
- Tidy and organised person, with a proactive approach to continuously improve and develop
- An analytical mindset coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude are essential
- Fanuc control systems
