About Stoa
Stoa is building a new category for deposits. Customers (individuals and businesses) lock deposits for fixed periods and receive valuable perks upfront instead of traditional interest. We move fast. Very fast.
Planning & Delivery Discipline
Strong planning skills are critical for this role. We would prefer candidates with experience working across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, particularly within fintech, banking, regulated industries, or product-led environments. Stoa operates across fintech, banking, product, compliance, legal, technology, and commercial partnerships. The right person must be able to take complex, regulated, multi-party workstreams and turn them into clear plans, owners, deadlines, dependencies, risks, and next actions. Prior experience planning and managing multiple projects in banking, fintech, regulated industries, or product-led businesses is highly valuable. This is not planning for the sake of planning. It is planning that leads to faster execution, better coordination, stronger accountability, and shipped outcomes.
The Role
We are looking for an exceptional Project Manager / Operations Analyst with a deep understanding of both technology and finance. This is a highly execution-focused role for someone who can operate at the intersection of fintech, product, banking operations, compliance, and technical delivery. You will keep projects moving at a granular level across every department including engineering, product, operations, legal, compliance, partnerships, customer operations, and finance. Your job is to ensure nothing stalls, blockers are removed quickly, and features and operational improvements ship at high velocity. This role is less about theoretical strategy and more about relentless execution, operational control, and getting people to deliver. You should understand how technology systems, APIs, product workflows, banking operations, regulated environments, and commercial priorities all connect together.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive execution across all departments to ensure projects move rapidly and efficiently
- Create and manage clear project plans, timelines, owners, dependencies, and risks
- Manage delivery across engineering, operations, legal, compliance, partnerships, and product teams
- Track tasks, blockers, dependencies, ownership, risks, and timelines at a highly detailed level
- Push teams toward faster delivery and stronger accountability
- Ensure product features and operational workflows ship at aggressive speed without compromising quality or compliance
- Coordinate execution between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Work closely with founders on critical operational and commercial priorities
- Help manage fintech and banking-related operational processes
- Support implementation and rollout of banking, compliance, and merchant partnerships
- Understand technical workflows well enough to challenge engineering timelines and identify bottlenecks
- Understand financial and operational workflows well enough to spot risks, inefficiencies, or compliance gaps
- Build scalable operational systems as the company grows
- Help drive commercial opportunities and operational follow-through on deals and partnerships
What We Are Looking For
- Strong experience in fintech, banking, payments, SaaS infrastructure, or another regulated industry
- Deep understanding of both technology systems and financial operations
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects, teams, or workstreams at the same time
- Strong understanding of project management systems and operational workflows
- Experience using project management and CRM tools such as Trello, HubSpot, Notion, Jira, or similar platforms
- Strong working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar systems to improve operational efficiency, reporting, research, workflows, and execution speed
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, product teams, compliance teams, and commercial stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience scaling projects, operations, teams, or businesses from early-stage environments into materially larger operations
- Proven track record of ruthless execution and getting things done under pressure
- Strong operational management and project delivery skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously
- Strong commercial instinct and ability to support execution of partnerships and deals
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-moving startup environments
- Bias toward action and delivery over endless meetings or presentations
Remuneration & Benefits
- Competitive base salary
- Equity participation through employee stock option plan (ESOP)
- Pension contribution
- 30 days paid holiday
- Hybrid working structure: Monday and Tuesday remote, Wednesday to Friday in-office
- Opportunity to help build a category-defining fintech business from an early stage
- Direct exposure to experienced operators across banking, fintech, product, growth, and partnerships
- Significant opportunity for progression as the company scales
Important
This is not a passive project management role. We are looking for someone who increases the output of the entire company. Someone who chases details, removes friction, pushes teams harder, solves operational problems quickly, and helps turn ambitious goals into shipped reality. The right person will combine operational intensity, technical understanding, financial awareness, planning discipline, urgency, accountability, and relentless follow-through.
