Stoa Recruitment are recruiting a Welding Inspector on behalf of an established steel fabrication business in Batley, West Yorkshire. This is a permanent Welding Inspector position for a qualified inspector who takes the standard personally and understands that their sign-off is the last line of defence before a product reaches the client.
The Role
As a Welding Inspector you will own the quality and integrity of everything that leaves the workshop inspecting welds and fabricated components, verifying compliance with BS EN 1090, managing inspection documentation, and driving a positive quality culture across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated components
- Prepare and control welding and manufacturing documentation and quality records
- Oversee welder testing, qualifications, and inspection and test plan implementation
- Monitor interpass temperatures, heat input, and dimensional accuracy
- Identify and record non-conformities, manage rectification processes
