Are you an experienced engineer who has a passion and experience for Sustainability and delivering projects across fast paced manufacturing environments? Or do you have experience of delivering energy and sustainability projects across multiple sites? We are working with a longstanding market leading client who are looking to add this new role to the business to help them achieve their Energy and Sustainability goals across the business.
What you will be doing:
- Energy
- Identify, quantify and deliver Energy saving projects across the business.
- Be the SME for Energy efficiencies including staying up to date with technologies and policies.
- Educate and promote cultural change within the business regarding energy efficiencies.
- Look at continuous improvement initiatives across processes and plant.
- Hold responsibility for energy compliance across the division.
- Ensure that all energy consumption is monitored and recorded accurately for reporting and budgeting.
- Network and liaise with colleagues across the group to enable best practice, new and proven initiatives are implemented.
- Have an inventive and entrepreneurial approach to plan strategies and concepts to increase sustainability across the group.
- Be the champion to push strategies for the reduction of Green House Gases (GHG) to achieve the carbon neutral targets.
- Analyse and collect all data required, reporting current challenges and potential future concerns.
- Complete awareness raising projects including training and/or demonstrations.
- Develop corrective action plans where needed and implement.
- Build business cases calculating ROI for sustainability projects.
Skills Experience
- It is expected that you will hold engineering qualification from HNC and above.
- Experience of delivering energy saving projects.
- Proven cradle to grave project management experience.
- An understanding of ISO5001 Energy Management Systems.
- An understanding of utilities and energy saving technologies.
- An excellent communicator able to talk to stakeholders at all levels.
