The CNC Miller setter operator will support production and processes for aluminium components to be optimised, reliable, and efficient. This hands-on role is responsible for proving new programs, setting and operating 5-Axis milling machines.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance.
- Prove new CNC programs and commission fixtures and cutting tools.
- Monitor dimensional reports, adjust offsets, and improve process capability.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve process issues.
Essentials:
- Proven CNC machine setting experience within fast-moving production environments.
- Skilled in 5-axis high-speed machining of aluminium.
- Competence in G & M code program editing (preferably Siemens controls).
- Strong understanding of tooling and fixture design principles.
