This is a senior commercial appointment for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven background in technically complex sales environments. The role offers genuine influence over commercial strategy, customer engagement, and long-term growth.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of identifying and securing new business while developing long-term strategic relationships with key customers across aerospace, defence, automotive, and adjacent regulated sectors. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape market positioning and future growth direction.
Key Focus Areas
- Securing new, high-value opportunities within regulated engineering markets
- Building trusted relationships with engineering, procurement, and senior stakeholders
- Representing full end-to-end manufacturing capabilities including complex castings, CNC machining, assembly, NDT, and metallurgical services
- Leading commercial negotiations and contract closure
- Supporting bid activity and complex technical proposals
- Ensuring smooth transition from sale to engineering and operations
About You
You are a commercially driven professional with experience selling complex engineered solutions into high-specification environments. Background likely to include:
- Business development or technical sales within aerospace, defence, automotive, motorsport, or similar sectors
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 supply chains
- A strong track record of winning and developing strategic accounts
- Comfortable navigating long sales cycles and technical detail
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
