This position is a great opportunity to join an engineering business within their Toolroom, working on a range of projects from one-off components to small batch work. This role would suit an experienced Manual Machinist or Toolmaker with a willingness to develop into CNC machining.

Toolroom Technician Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture and repair production jigs, fixtures, and tooling equipment
  • Operate a range of Toolroom machinery including manual and CNC lathes, mills, and surface grinders (Bridgeports, Jones & Shipman, etc.)
  • Carry out bench fitting techniques including drilling, tapping, and reaming
  • Conduct quality inspections of manufactured components using measuring equipment
Toolroom Technician Essentials:
  • Relevant Engineering qualification or apprenticeship
  • Proven experience within a tooling or precision engineering environment
  • Strong experience with manual machining, CNC milling and turning, and surface grinding
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • Willingness to develop CNC machining experience as the role develops
