Manual Turning Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual centre lathes, including heavy duty machines
  • Machining one-off or small batch projects
  • Breakdown, repair and modification work
  • Work from technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Working on internal and external threads

Manual Turning Machinist Experience:

  • Five years experience in a manual turning or machining position
  • Previous experience working on Colchester lathes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
  • Quality measuring devices: micrometres, verniers, etc.
