I am lucky enough to be exclusively partnered with a well established manufacturing business in Coventry who, having moved into their state of the art facility they are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join the management team reporting to the MD you will assist them in the next stage of growth and development as part of a long term business strategy
What you will be doing:
- Implementing and managing the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety systems to meet the needs of the business complying with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and bring all three under a single structure
- Manage and conduct internal audits following internal processes
- Manage the external audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure relevant ISO standards are continuingly achieved and certifications status is in place
- Monitor NCR’s both internally and externally NCR’s ensuring that they are resolved quickly looking at root cause, implementing corrective and preventative actions, building a culture of continuous improvement ensuring all documentation is recorded appropriately
- Perform Inspections as required to ensure processes are being followed and parts are manufactured correctly to the required quality within tolerance
- Ensure that all tools within the calibration register are calibrated in date and any external calibrations is done
- Lead QMS review meetings with the senior leadership team and ensure that any agreed actions are completed as required
Skills Experience
- Educated to a degree or HNC level or completion of an engineering apprenticeship
- Previous experience of working within a Quality engineer/managers role within a precision machining organisation
- Able to implement procedures and policies and manage compliance of them
- Experience and knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 would be desirable
- Excellent communicator at all levels both verbally and written
- Strong IT Skills
- Able to work autonomously and pro-actively
- Organised and able to work under pressure
