We are currently recruiting for a Single site based Lead Plant Fitter/Engineer to join a well-established operation based in West London. This is a key role within a busy site, where you will be responsible for ensuring all plant equipment is maintained to a high standard and operates efficiently. You will play an important part in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support, as well as carrying out mechanical repairs to conveyors, pumps, bearings etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
- Attending breakdowns and minimising downtime on site
- Completing mechanical repairs
- Reporting plant defects accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensuring all equipment complies with quality and operational standards
- Following health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
- Supporting additional maintenance tasks and projects as required
Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter (or time-served equivalent)
- Strong experience working on plant or heavy industrial machinery
- MIG or Stick Welding experience (Desirable)
- Be able to communicate at all levels
- Able to follow H&S procedures i.e. lock off processes etc
