Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Tamworth

Shifts: Four Shift rotation – Mon – Fri

Salary: £47,000 + 28 days holiday and only 12 weeks of nights a year

The Company

I am proud to announce I am working with one of the largest parcel distributors in the world. Currently they are going through a growth phase across the UK. With a world wide operation they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join one of their well established sites, going through a recent investment of £2 million to help modernise the site and keep the high standards of performance on the site with newer technology. Working on this site as a Maintenance Engineer will provide job security for yourself, chance to work in a well experienced team and further benefits we can discuss

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will:

  • Be working in a highly automated fast moving environment as the site can perform to a volume 45,000 parcels an hour
  • Working on various equipment including Various conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical components, sorters and more
  • Join a team on shift including a supervisor, technicians and fellow engineers
  • Working on machinery including Sorters, various conveyor belts and x-ray machines in an automated environment all driven by PLCs

The Engineer

In a Maintenance Engineer we are looking for:

  • A recognised engineering qualification, Level 3 preferred
  • An engineer that can work mechanically and/or electrically and has experience in Production/Logistics environments
  • Being able to perform under high pressure scenarios and hit KPIs set on the site
  • Strong communicator to help the engineering team work effectively and efficiently but also someone that will be able to work on their own as and when needed
