Our client is looking for a motivated and proactive Maintenance Engineer Supervisor to join the Kent site, providing leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to their engineering team. This role blends team management (approx. 30%) with hands-on engineering (approx. 70%), focusing on operational reliability, preventative maintenance, and rapid response to breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work.
- Prioritise and manage breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Plan, schedule, and execute repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
- Provide hands-on support during complex maintenance tasks and emergency breakdowns.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Develop training plans to improve team skills and performance.
- Promote positive team culture and best engineering practices.
- Manage engineering stock levels, including ordering and maintaining critical spares.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and automation systems as required.
