As a Project Engineer with extensive experience within electrical design utilising SCADA and PLC Systems, you will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions from cradle to grave projects across various industries. In this client facing role, you will be at the centre of everything from initial client contact to scope out the projects through design, production, test & commission and delivery. This Project Engineer's role is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a business at an exciting time as they grow with an ever expanding client base.
As a Project Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding the clients' requirements and presenting a tailored solution.
- Producing and designing the proposed solutions including Communications Networks, PLC and SCADA systems and Hardware.
- Creating flow charts, process diagrams and state diagrams to describe the proposed solution.
- Ensuring all works and documentation are in line with the scope of the project with particular focus on compliance to industry and safety standards.
- Sourcing and negotiating on hardware to ensure best price within budget models.
- Ensuring all hardware being produced internally or externally is correct and fit for purpose for the lifespan of the end project.
- Creating and modifying PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
- Creating test arrangements within the workshop as well as Factory Test Specification.
- Arranging and coordinating site installation including creating RAMS and Method Statements.
- Undertaking site testing and supervising contractors on site.
Required Skills & Experience:
- It is expected the successful candidate will be degree qualified within electrical or electronics engineering.
- A successful track record of delivering cradle to grave project experience in a similar role.
- Be an expert in system design including PLCs, SCADA, HMI and communications networks (Fibre, Ethernet, Serial etc).
- An excellent communicator, verbally and written, to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
