Lift Technician Location: London Salary: Up to £60,000 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lift Technician to join our team in the South West UK. As a Lift Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of lift systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Installation: Carry out the installation of new lift systems, ensuring all work meets company standards and complies with health and safety regulations. Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance checks and routine servicing to keep lifts in optimal condition, reducing downtime and extending lifespan. Fault Finding: Diagnose and troubleshoot faults efficiently, providing accurate assessments and repairs to resolve issues swiftly. Repairs: Conduct both minor and major repairs, replacing or refurbishing parts as needed to ensure the continued safe operation of all lift systems. Testing and Inspections: Perform regular inspections, safety checks, and load testing on lifts to comply with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear reports and recommendations for repair work or upgrades. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including service reports, parts used, and any health and safety documentation. Emergency Callouts: Be available for occasional emergency call-outs on a rota basis, responding to urgent service needs as they arise. Requirements Proven experience as a Lift Technician or similar role. NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualification (desirable). Knowledge of mechanical and electrical lift systems, with the ability to work on a variety of makes and models. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to lift installation and maintenance. Full UK driving license. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
