As we move into the summer and the evenings are lighter, the mornings too, are you looking for a role which will allow you to make the most of the summer months? If so, read on… I am working with an established and growing business who are looking for an additional HSE Officer to join the group wide team. With recent UK wide acquisitions, this will be a site based role at one of their original and well-established manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Group Head of Health and Safety, this is a role with great career development potential.

You will be:

  • The main point of contact for all Health, Safety and Environmental concerns for the site.
  • A visible member of the site team, promoting a strong Health and Safety culture to all.
  • Assisting to ensure that the existing IMS for ISO accreditations is maintained and improved.
  • Advising on process improvement for all operations to enable safe working.
  • Assisting in reviewing all documentation (RAMS etc).
  • Inducting and monitoring external contractors to ensure compliance with all site and legal requirements.
  • Working with the production management to ensure continued compliance in all operations.

Skills Experience:

  • Have proven experience working in H&S within heavy manufacturing or construction.
  • Qualified to NEBOSH level as a minimum.
  • Strong IT skills able to work with Microsoft suite of packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate at all levels.
  • Be able to work in a calm and controlled way under pressure.
