Are you passionate about Health and Safety and driven by Environmental compliance? I am looking for a boots on the ground, Pro-Active and highly visible Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to work with a manufacturing business in the Hinckley area. Being a site based role, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring processes, and promoting best practice in all things to do with health, safety and environmental compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Be responsible for the Health and Safety concerns for multiple sites including develop, manage and monitoring of HSE matters.
  • Be the ‘go to’ expert for all matters regarding HSE and work with the senior leadership team giving any guidance where required.
  • Promoting a positive attitude to safe working and operating working with all internal stakeholders.
  • Be the first port of call for all external agencies to HSE matters.
  • Keep the business compliant with changing regulations and implementing any changes needed.
  • Implement and develop a robust culture of Health and Safety.
  • Monitoring all compliance for all external contractors whilst on site ensuring all RAMS are correct and adhered to.
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and maintained.
  • Able to write policies and SOP’s.

Skills Experience:

  • Proven track record working as a HSE Manager within manufacturing.
  • Confident communicating with operators to leadership, being able to motivate and implement change.
  • As a minimum be NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communicator at all levels both verbally and written.
  • Able to work autonomously and pro-actively.
  • Organised and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience of working to ISO 45001, 14001 and 18001.
