Do you have experience working as a qualified Mobile Plant Trainer/Assessor and are looking for a larger role? Are you stuck as an internal plant trainer and are looking for a role with wider scope? We are exclusively working with our longstanding market leading client who are looking to add this new role to the business, based out of Leicestershire. This role will ensure all of the people operating mobile plant are adequately trained and assessed across all of their sites across the UK.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver qualified training across the business ensuring all mobile plant equipment operators are qualified and assessed to accredited national standards for Forklift Trucks, Loading Shovel Vehicles, Scissor Lifts etc.
  • Maintain training records for all operators and verifying all new employee’s qualifications.
  • Ensure the training that is delivered meets existing standards and where necessary develop the training in line with any modifications to legislation.
  • Support any improvement initiatives with plant safety and operator competence.
  • Work with managers to ensure training is scheduled so production is not affected and to ensure the right people get the right level of training.

Skills Experience:

  • Experience of delivering plant training in industrial environments.
  • It’s expected you will hold some or all of the recognised instructor qualifications from any of the following: RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS, IPAF.
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills as you would expect for a trainer's role.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong IT Skills and be able to maintain up to date and accurate records.
  • Be open to further training and development to fill any knowledge gaps.

This role will support additional training as they appreciate that people may not be qualified in all aspects of the role.
