Duties for the Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
- Perform general grounds keeping and building maintenance and repair minor defects within the social and outside areas with regular guidance and oversight.
- Observe to learn and support minor repairs on systems (i.e. carpentry and other routine building maintenance and repairs) under general supervision.
- Complete basic routine repairs on one or two systems (i.e. plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
- Support the inspection of equipment and systems for preventive maintenance following plant protocol and move equipment and furniture for cleaning or renovation purposes.
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Experience required for the Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
- Experience working as a maintenance assistant/facilities engineer.
- Some formal engineering qualification.
- Experience with welding would be advantageous but not essential.
